FABRIC Established in Feb 1988 as Maya's Fabrique dealing in High Fashion Fabrics started humbly at Semua House Shopping Complex , Kuala Lumpur. As the demand developed further, Maya's was corporatised into Maya's Fabrique Sdn. Bhd in Feb 1994. Simultaneously Maya's started producing their unique prints on silks which carried their trademark "MAYASILKTM" on every selvage of the fabric retailing at Mayasilk stand-alone stores and at licensed distributors around Malaysia. In the year 2000 Maya's Fabrique Sdn. Bhd opened its new headquarters at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, a 3 1/2 storey building with a space of nearly 5000 sq feet to accomodate the ever growing market . In August 2004, Mayasilk expended to Shah Alam with a new concept store, catering to the elite patrons of Shah Alam. In August 2006, Mayasilk tied up with MYDIN Hypermart to be the anchor textile store launched in Mydin USJ and Mydin Melaka , a new concept called THE TEXTILE PLAZA catering to the mass market segment. FASHION Established in April 1985 in Semua House Shopping Complex retailing in Indian Fashion Wear. MAYA'S FASHION was the pioneer in Little India merchandising in Designer Salwar Kameez & Sarees in the 80s, a popular household name in organizing Indian fashion shows and Indian beauty pagents. In 2005 we consolidated the Indian Wear trade into a stand-alone store at Jalan Tun Sambanthan. The store boasts a catwalk stage where we hold fashion events by Indian designers. Established
for 25 years, MAYASILK has attained a huge following in Malaysia and to expand
further a franchise scheme was conceptualize in 2013. The objective of the
franchise scheme is to give opportunity to existing wholesalers and new
entrepreneurs to venture into the Textile Retail trade without having to invest
huge capital for direct imports through a retail scheme with minimal franchise
fee.
Our DNA is our trademark Mayasilk printed on every meter of the fabric selvage which is directly produced under stringent quality control to preserve the exclusivity. Mayasilk has become a fabric-fashion icon locally and internationally creating a lucrative textile branding. |
